UK Tier 2 Work Permits

Overview

The UK Tier 2 Work Permit, also known as UK Work Visa is designed for skilled and semi-skilled employees who intend to work in the United Kingdom. The Work Permit to UK allows companies in the UK to bridge the gap created by labor shortages in the country. UK Tier 2 Work Permit initially last for 3 years and can be extended at the end of the 3 years for another 2 years. Once holders of this permit live in the United Kingdom for up to 5 years, they can apply to gain permanent residence.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this permit in order to work in UK, applicants are required to score a minimum of 70 points from the assessment of qualifications, available maintenance funds, sponsorship, English language skills and prospective earnings.

The applicant are also required to

  • Present a sponsorship reference number certificate.
  • Earn an appropriate monthly salary.
  • Have the required English language skills.
  • Show proof of having up to £945 in savings except they are exempted.

Benefits

Applicants who are issued the UK Tier 2 Work Permit are entitled to the following benefits:

  • They are granted temporary residence in the United Kingdom to work and live.
  • Holders of this permit may apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain, which allows the holder to gain permanent residence in the United Kingdom.

Government Child Application Fee.

Government Main Application Fee for individual applicants is UK£514 if when the application is filed outside the UK and UK£601 for applications filed inside the UK.

Government Partner Application Fee is UK£514 if the application is filed outside the UK and UK£601 for applications filed inside the UK.

Government Child Application Fee is UK£514 if the application is filed outside the UK and UK£601 for applications filed inside the UK.
