The UK Student Visitor Visa is designed for students who wish to take up a short-term course or engage in a research in the United Kingdom but are not from the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland. However, students who are qualified to gain citizenship in Britain cannot apply for this visa category; rather, they are only allowed to file for British citizenship.
The UK Student Visitor Visa does not permit students to work during their stay in the UK under this visa, neither does it permit students to study in a state school. The visa is valid for 6 months and cannot be extended after it expires. However, students who are up to 18 years can get a UK Student Visitor Visa valid for up to 11 months if they intend to take up a course in the English Language.
