Saskatchewan Holds Its Third Entrepreneur Draw For 2019
On May 2 Saskatchewan immigration has invited a fresh batch of candidates in its Entrepreneur Draw to submit their applications.

The details

The draw issued invitations to 43 candidates through its Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program. The draw had an average score of 125 and the profile score was in the range between 120 and 135 points.

Additionally, so far, Saskatchewan has invited 173 candidates in its Entrepreneur Stream during 2019. It had invited 824 candidates in 2018.

The latest draw had fewer invitations in comparison to previous draws.

 Other details

Saskatchewan has issued the full set of dates for the draws to take place in 2019. These are July 4, Sep 5 and finally on November 7.

The province increased the draw frequency in 2018 and now proposes to conduct them once every two months.  The process of provincial immigration Entrepreneur stream involves the following stages:

1.  Firstly it has the Expression of interest

2.  Then there is an Invitation submitting the application

3.  Finally, the Nomination happens

The EOI must also meet these requirements:

  • The minimum net worth of $500,000 (acquired in a legal manner).
  • Three years of entrepreneurial experience or in relevant management.
  • Investment of $300,000 in Regina/Saskatoon/ or, $200,000 in other areas.

The process

Candidates also enter a pool and earn a score. The candidates scoring top marks get the invitation for submitting the application.

Applications need to have:

  • A Business Establishment Plan which will confirm with the figures in EOI providing one-third ownership of a company in Saskatchewan.
  • Giving a Commitment for remaining active in managing the business daily.
  • Creating two jobs for citizens or permanent residents Canadian when the business runs in Saskatoon/Regina.

The SINP informed that it has a right to assess Business Establishment Plans by taking the help of professional parties proposed by the government officials. It will have a focus on the overall preparation of the applicant regarding preparing the Business Plan.
