PNPs ALIGNED WITH EXPRESS ENTRY PERFORM WELL IN THE FIRST HALF OF 2019
During the first half of 2019 Provincial Nominee Programs that were aligned with Express Entry were extremely active in Canada. Canada has already set a high immigration target in the Provincial Nominee Programs for 2019 in comparison to 2018.

Successful performance

These PNPs successfully issued several Invitations to Apply to seek the provincial nomination during the initial six months of the present year. The successful candidates who obtain provincial nomination get 600 extra points in Comprehensive Ranking System score which is a guarantee to get the PR invitation to apply in Canada in a subsequent Express Entry draw. This score is helpful for the candidates who score less than the cut-off score in the federal rounds.

Ontario

Ontario had a nomination allocation of 6900 for 2019. This is a large allocation among the provinces and territories in Canada. Up to now in 2019, the province has issued 3846 Notifications to the Express Entry candidates. Of these, 2565 were in the Human Capital Priorities Stream. Candidates of the French-Speaking Skilled Worker as well as Skilled Trades streams collectively received 1281 NOIs

Alberta

Express Entry Stream of the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program commenced one year ago. The norm for consideration in the provincial nomination among the Express Entry candidates of Alberta is that they must have a CRS score of 300. Additionally the province conducted 16 draws using the Express Entry-aligned stream in the year and also issued 3816 Notifications. In eight of the draws the CRS score was only 302 or less than that.

Nova Scotia

The Nova Scotia Nominee Program highlights three streams that are aligned with the federal Express Entry. There were Labor Market Priorities Stream draws on June 3 and January 25. These draws invited EE candidates having the work experience in Early Childhood Educators, Childhood Assistants and Financial Auditors/Accountants. Finally in the draw held in March candidates having French as the first language were invited.

Saskatchewan

International Skilled Worker in Saskatchewan has an Express Entry sub-category which held eight rounds of invitation. It issued 1,166 ITAs seeking the provincial nomination. This subcategory works on the basis of Expression of Interest, and all the candidates have to create the separate profile other than the profile in Express Entry to get the invitation. The Province revised the top demand occupations list two times in the period.

Other Programs

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program issued 300 invitations in favor of the Express Entry candidates.

PEI held six draws in the period of January -July 2019 and collectively issued 671 invitations in favor of candidates belonging to Express Entry as well as Labor Impact categories.
