Ontario Human Capital Stream
Higher than 1,000 Express Entry applicants with work experience in 11 professions were the focus of a targeted draw by Ontario’s Stream Human Capital Priorities conducted on May 31.

Human Capital Priorities Draw Details

The draw announced a sum of 1,072 invitations to apply for a nomination from the province for Canada PR to Express Entry applicants with the necessary work experience and CRS scores varying from 439 to 469, with other requirements.

Ontario is home to both capital city of Canada, Ottawa, and the country’s biggest city, Toronto, and is a favorite destination for current permanent residents.

Like maximum provinces in Canada, Ontario has a provincial nominee program that it can practice to choose applicants for PR depends on its labor market requirements.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program’s Stream Human Capital Priorities enables the province to explore the Canadian Express Entry pool for aspirants who satisfy the stream’s provincial and federal qualification requirements and invite them to appeal for a nomination from the province for Canada PR.

To be counted for selection through the O.I.N.P by its Human Capital Priorities Stream or its different Express Entry streams, the primary required action is to access the pool of Express Entry.

It was the 2nd draw of 2019 by the Stream Human Capital Priorities, which has now announced 2,565 Notifications of Interest, or NOIs, to applicants of Express Entry.

On occasion, the O.I.N.P conducts targeted draws by the Human Capital Priorities for applicants with credentials that are not with its general eligibility requirements.

It was the case with the 31 May draw, which announced invitations to Express Entry applicants with work experience in 11 professions.

The 11 Targeted Professions were:

  • NOC 0601: Corporate Sales Managers
  • NOC 0114: Other administrative services managers
  • NOC 0124: Advertising, marketing, and public relations managers
  • NOC 1122: Professional occupations in business management consulting
  • NOC 1111: Financial auditors and accountants
  • NOC 0621: Retail and wholesale trade managers
  • NOC 0111: Financial managers
  • NOC 3012: Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses
  • NOC 0651: Managers in customer and personal services
  • NOC 1114: Other financial officers

It was the first time the O.I.N.P. has focused this specific occupations list. In the past focused on I.T. occupations. This adaptability enables the O.I.N.P. to change the Stream Human Capital Priorities with economic development and labor market priorities and to be further responsive to employer requirements.
