Ontario PNP Tech Draws: Six In-demand Targeted IT Occupations -12th August, 2019

Ontario focuses on a list of six in-demand IT professions by the Tech Draws of Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. The province started attending Tech Draws in July 2019, falling beneath the Ontario province’s Express Entry associated Human Capital Priorities stream.

In two Tech Draws conducted so far, the province has announced Notifications of Interest to 3,396 applicants in the Express Entry.

In-demand Targeted Six Professions

Software designers and engineers (NOC 2173)
Computer engineers (NOC 2147)
Computer programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174)
Web developers and web designers (NOC 2175)
Information and Computer systems managers (NOC 0213)
Database analysts and data administrators (NOC 2172)

Applicants need to meet existing HCP requirements as well as have genuine work experience in one of the listed occupations. They are chosen from the pool of Express Entry and have 45 days to provide a comprehensive application after obtaining a Notification of Interest.

General Requirements for Ontario Human Capital Priorities

Ongoing profile beneath the Express Entry system and be suitable for either the F.S.W.P or the C.E.C.
Hold at least one year of full time, or equivalent to full-time work experience under N.O.C. profession level 0, A or B, in the prior five years if appealing beneath the F.S.W.P or in the prior three years if appealing beneath C.E.C.
Need to have Canadian Bachelors degree or similar Canadian Bachelors or higher degree.
Need to prove language knowledge by securing minimum CLB/NCLC level 7 in the French or English language.
Plan to live in the Canadian province of Ontario.
Evidence of demanded settlement funds.
Need to score minimum Federal Express Entry CRS score as determined by the director below periodic draws.
