Moreover, such EE candidates who receive the NOI of the province and also apply to seek the provincial nomination get 600 additional points in their EE ranking score when they are successful.
These extra 600 points serve as an effective guarantee to get the invitation from the Government to apply for PR. The minimum EE rank score in this HCP draw was 439, which is below the minimum score in the previous EE Draw for all but one draw held in 2018.
Some new developments
Additionally, in this invitation round also the HCP Stream resumed general or non-target draws. As a result, the candidates of this draw do not require a local job offer or proficiency in the French language to attain success.
During the final four HCP draws of 2018 the aim was to attract EE candidates possessing specific credentials. Moreover, in these four draws the focus of three was on candidates having a job offer in the province. The remaining one attracted specific candidates having proficiency in the French language.
Furthermore, an update of the Application Guide in the stream published in December states that candidates having a work experience/job offer in a specific occupation will get a priority.
This Human Capital Priorities Stream issued invited 3,719 candidates in the Express Entry during 2018. This was a popular and a busy stream of the OINP, with a link to Express Entry last year. The share of the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream was 1,633, and of the Skilled Trades Stream in EE it was 1,626. The initial step to pursue the Ontario Human Capital Priorities Stream is entering the profile in the federal pool.We highlight all the details of the programs, and you can contact us to seek additional details.
