Canada to Fund 824 Integration & Settlement Projects in Next Five Years
Refugees, Immigration and Citizenship Canada, has published that 824 integration and settlement projects have been chosen to get federal funding for the following five years in Canada. The schemes will span the whole country and will assist newcomers fully engage in social, civic, cultural, and economic life in Canada upon entry.

In February 2019, the I.R.C.C made a request for proposals that would be counted for funding. A selection of 824 integration and settlement projects have now been published that will be producing support services to immigrants over the country. 

List of Services to Support Immigrants

These nationwide projects, anticipated to start in April 2020, will provide services concentrated on delivering:

Orientation and Information- Assisting immigrants to learn about and mingle into their new home, as well as linking them to more resources.

Language instruction and skills improvement- Providing language and related skills instruction to immigrants in both of Canada’s standard languages. Manageable courses will be accessible online, offline, and at the workplace.

Employment-Related Services- Providing immigrants with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in the workforce of Canada. These plans will involve connecting them straight with private sector companies and partners.

The Canada Immigration Minister, Ahmed Hussen, announced it best, Canada is known as a global leader in integration and settlement. We strongly believe that when we spend in assisting immigrants to learn the language, find a job, and build a victorious life, all of Canada advantages.

The projects on immigration published are just a portion of Canada’s continued commitment to enhancing and growing its immigrant services. In the previous year, the government of Canada announced that a sum of CAD 1 billion would be going towards supporting immigrants to adjust with Canadian life. Canada’s proposal to admit 1 million immigrants in the following three years.
