British Columbia Holds an Immigration Draw and Invites 57 IT Workers
British Columbia held an Immigration Draw on June 25, and Invited 57 IT Workers, in the BC PNP Tech Pilot. It involved four BC Provincial Nominee Program streams and the lowest requisite score was 90 in all the streams. 

The streams are:

  • Express Entry for Skilled Workers,
  • Express Entry for International Graduates,
  • Direct provincial for Skilled Workers
  • Direct provincial for International Graduates

In the previous BC Draw held on June 18, the immigration authorities issued invitations to 270 candidates in five PNP streams. Moreover, the draw had the minimum score, in the range between 75 and 105 points.

  • For the Entry level the least score requirement was 75 points. It was the same for semi-skilled candidates also.  
  • For the direct provincial skilled workers the least score requirement was 95 points.
  • For the Express Entry linked stream meant for skilled workers the least score requirement was 105 points.
  • It was 100 for the direct provincial stream and 104 for the Express Entry-linked stream for global graduates

Also, there is a guarantee of selection after obtaining the provincial nomination in Canadian Express Entry. It adds 600 Comprehensive Ranking System points.The provincial program brings out the guarantee scores which the immigrants must obtain to get invited to the programs.There are grades in the score for international graduates as well as semi-skilled/entry-level workers.
