BC PNP Tech Pilot Draw

British Columbia provincial immigration has announced 284 invitations to apply in a 4th draw in the month of January 2020 by the British Columbia's Provincial Program. The 28 January 2020 draw concentrated on skilled workers and also foreign graduates by five British Columbia's PNP streams.

Skilled professional workers through the straight provincial streams need to score a minimum of 100 points in order to receive an Invitation, which is 10 points less when related to the Express Entry-linked stream that requires 110 points.

Foreign graduates through the straight provincial streams need to score a minimum of 103 points in order to receive an Invitation, which is 2 points less when related to the Express Entry-linked stream that requires 105 points. Semi-skilled and Entry-level workers need to score a minimum of 85 points in order to receive an Invitation.

In its former draw, British Columbia PNP issued 58 Tech Pilot invitations to immigration candidates. The 21 January 2020 draw observed invitations announced through the 4 streams of British Columbia's Provincial Program:

  • Skills Immigration (Skilled Worker)
  • Skills Immigration (International Graduate)
  • BC Express Entry (Skilled Worker)
  • BC Express Entry (International Graduate)

Under the Tech Pilot of BC PNP, applicants in the 29 targeted professions receive superiority processing for British Columbia Provincial immigration.

In all four listed streams highlighted in the draw, candidates need to score a minimum of 90 points in order to receive an invitation to apply for Canada PR.

The British Columbia PNP Tech Pilot has been continued into 2020. British Columbia PNP Tech Pilot was launched in May 2017. It presently has a list of 29 In-demand occupations and the requirements were relaxed when compared with other occupations that are not listed. British Columbia's PNP draws mainly aimed at tech workers.

  • The offer of a job must be in one of the 29 In-demand occupations
  • The offer of a job duration must be for the one-year or above 
  • The offer of a job must be valid for a tenure of 120 days while submitting an application
