The goal fixed by Australian immigration for the existing financial year is 16,652. In those, around 4000 invitations will go to citizens of New Zealand and 12,652 positions remain. The Australian Home Affairs Department has previously announced 5,000 invitations and approximately 30% invitees have secondary appellants.
Out of the whole 1,300 invitations announced in Jan 2020, almost 1,000 invitations given to subclass 189 visa and 300 invitations given to subclass 491 family-sponsored categories. Among the subclass 189- Skilled Independent visa aspirants who obtained invitations, 646 candidates had a 90 points score, while 285 contestants had a score of 95 points and approximately 70 contestants had higher than 100 points. As per the immigration experts, if this movement remains, points cut-off may fall by about 5 points, particularly with non pro-rata professions.
The number of invitations that are declared is seeing improvement after a slow down for about a couple of months and it has built hope to several immigration applicants. Also, the most recent round of invitation announced Invitations to a large number of subclass 491 family-sponsored candidates.
The most notable number of invitations in the Jan 2020 draw was announced to Software & Application Programmers, who got 298 invitations over subclass 189 and subclass 491 visa classes. The remaining IT professions that received the most significant number of invitations are Database and System Administrators and I.C.T Security Specialists that have received 121 invitations while ICT Business Analysts and Systems Analysts that have received 93 invitations. Besides IT experts, Civil Engineering experts and accountants have also obtained a tremendous number of invitations.
