Alberta province announced 132 invitations to apply to applicants in the pool of federal Express Entry
in the draw that took place on December 5.
The Invitations to apply (I.T.As), or Notifications of Interest (N.O.Is), given to Federal Express Entry applicants with Comprehensive Ranking System (C.R.S) scores of 400 points and above.
The Alberta province's Express Entry Stream permits the Alberta’s Immigrant Nominee (A.I.N.P) Program to choose qualified applicants with a valid profile in the Canadian Express Entry system.
The Federal Express Entry controls the pool of applicants for its 3 Canadian principal Economic immigration classes
- Federal Skilled Worker Class
- Canadian Experience Class
- Federal Skilled Trades Class
Express Entry applicants with a nomination from the Alberta province will get an additional 600 CRS points towards their score of CRS and it will effectively be secured with an invitation to appeal for Canada PR in the following draw from the pool of Federal Express Entry.
Details of CRS Score Cut-off
The cut-off C.R.S score of 400 points in this most recent invitation round is notably weaker than the cut-off C.R.S scores for draws managed through the Federal Express Entry system itself in this year.
The weakest score that brought so far in the year 2019 in a Federal Express Entry draw that includes all 3 of the economic immigration classes it maintains was 438.
While an offer of employment or prior work in the Alberta province is not mandatory to be eligible, the Alberta PNP says it may offer priority to applicants with:
- An offer of employment in the Alberta and/or relevant work experience in the Alberta;
- An eligible degree from a post-secondary college in Canada and a valid offer of employment; or
- A sibling, child or parent already residing in the Alberta.
The 5 December 2019 draw brings the entire number of Federal Express Entry
applicants who are invited to apply for a nomination from the province of Alberta for Canada PR
through the Alberta Province's Express Entry Stream in 2019 to 6,752.
