Alberta - 197 Express Entry candidates get invitations having CRS of 301 -24th May, 2019

On May 15, Alberta has issued invitations, to 197 candidates, belonging to the Express Entry, with a Comprehensive Ranking System score of 301, to seek the provincial nomination, and get the permanent residence in Canada.

The draw was held through the Alberta Express Entry Stream, and the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program put through the relevant details of the draw.

The AINP forms a vibrant part of Canadian Provincial Nominee Program and also permits all the participating provinces/territories in nominating promising economic immigration candidates that match with the local labor market requirements.

Seven Of the 15 provincial draws, in the Express Entry Stream, during the present year, had a CRS score range between 300 and 302.

This Stream began its operations in 2018, and allows the AINP, to search for all able candidates, which fulfill the norms of eligibility, in the federal Express Entry system.

The Express Entry has a design to manage the pool of candidates belonging to the economic immigration categories in the country.

These are:

  • Canadian Experience Class
  • Federal Skilled Worker Class,
  • Federal Skilled Trades Class

Other details

Moreover, all Eligible candidates in the categories mentioned above enter the Express Entry pool. They also get a score depending on the Comprehensive Ranking System. The top ranking candidates receive the invitations to seek Canadian permanent residence in regular pool draws.

The successful candidates of Express Entry get the provincial nomination. They also, obtain 600 additional points in the CRS score that assures the invitation from the Government.

Using the stream totally 3,554 Express Entry candidates received the invitation to apply for the provincial nomination for Canadian PR in 2019.

Additionally, the eligibility norms in the Alberta Express Entry Stream emphasize that the Express Entry candidates should get a minimum CRS score of 300. Moreover, they must work in a job which offers support to the economic development and diversification of Alberta. This will strengthen their consideration to get the AINP invitation.

The AINP has no list of the eligible occupations.

Conclusion

A job offer or past work in Alberta is not an eligibility requirement. Additionally, the AINP gives a priority to such candidates who have a:

  • Job offer/work experience in the province;
  • Degree from a Canadian institution and also the valid job offer; or
  • Parents, children or sibling living in Alberta already.

This is noteworthy and lower than the score of 438 in the federal Express Entry draws held in the present year.
