135th Express Entry Draw: 3,400 Invitations Announced for Canadian PR
Immigration officials of Canada (IRCC) announced 3,400 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) in the second Federal (135th) Express Entry draw of the year 2020. The 22 January 2020 draw observed the minimum required CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score dropped by 2 points and attained a score of 471 points when related to the former draw.

It is the 2nd draw of 2020 and with this Canada has now announced 6,800 I.T.As. Refugees, Immigration, and Citizenship Canada (I.R.C.C) issued 85,300 Invitations to apply to candidates in the year 2019. Canadian high-skilled immigration goal for the year 2020 is 85,800, which is increased from the previous target 81,400 in 2019. I.R.C.C broke the record in 2018 with 89,800 Express Entry ITAs.

The most recent draw saw a tie-breaking rule executed on 9 May 2019 at 1.16 am UTC, which is 8 May 2019 at 9.16 pm EST. If a higher number of candidates had the same minimum CRS score, only those who provided their profiles in the Express Entry pool prior to this date & time received invitations to apply. It was the second round of invitations below Express Entry in 2020 and the overall number is 135.

Federal Express Entry

It is an immigration system that is implemented by the IRCC on (Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada) from its initial date of launching which is 1 Jan 2015 which controls skilled worker applications below the Federal Economic programs of immigration. It comprises the Federal Skilled Worker Program, parts of the Provincial Nomination Programs, Federal Skilled Trades Program and Canada Experience Class.

Stakeholders anticipate nearly 30 draws and above 80,000 invitations to apply issued in the year 2020, with a majority of draws emphasizing CRS scores near to 470 to allow Canadian immigration officials to achieve targeted yearly immigration levels for the year 2020.

In order to hire foreign workers, Employers in Canada are encouraged to consider obtaining an L.M.I.A or nomination below provincial programs (PNPs) to assure long term holding of employees.

Advice to Immigration Aspirants

It is assumed that plenty of applicants issued with ITAs in the year 2020 and require about 470 CRS points, facilitating a notable number of aspirants to receive Canada PR without an offer of a job or nomination beneath the provincial immigration program. But, getting an offer of a job is highly suggested.
