The 127th Express Entry draw conducted on 2 October 2019 for immigration to Canada has produced Invitations to Apply (ITA) for 3,900 candidates. The cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System (C.R.S) score was 464.
In the former draw, which happened on 18 September 2019 the cut-off C.R.S score limit was 462 points.
The rule of tie-breaking was implemented for the draw held on 2 October, indicating that not all appellants with 464 points will obtain an ITA. As many appellants have CRS score equal to 464 points, those who presented their profile to the pool of Express Entry before 20 Sept 2019, at 15:05 UTC will be preferred.
The Express Entry record low cut-off CRS threshold for an all-program draw was 413.
Those who follow Federal Express Entry strictly know that since June 2019 the cut-off C.R.S score has varied between 457 and 465, a comparatively small range. For the cut-off C.R.S score to maintain this kind of balance, it recommends that the net input of applicants with CRS scores within that limit or higher must be roughly equal to the number of ITAs announced each round.
That means that about every two weeks, approximately 3,500 – 4,000 Express Entry applicants are touching CRS scores within or higher the 457-465 range. This would involve new applicants who create their profile in the Express Entry for the first time, as well as existing Express Entry applicants who take active measures to enhance their CRS score.
Those with scores under that range can continue positive as we enter the last quarter for 2019. In 2018, the final few months of the year appeared with the lowest cut-off CRS score for Express Entry (in December 2018 it was 439 points). However, there is no assurance that in 2019 will reflect the identical trend.
Another chance is that global interest in Federal Express Entry has spiked. An overall improvement in competitive Express Entry aspirants could result in the cut-off C.R.S score remaining greater for a longer period. As of 27 September 2019 there was a sum of 123,423 applicants in the Federal Express Entry pool.
