Canada immigration conducted a large Express Entry draw for the present year, on July 10, and also issued 3,600 Invitations to apply to the aspiring candidates. There was a consecutive decline in the Minimum CRS for the third time and Canada passed the 40,000 mark for issuing Express Entry ITAs in this year.

Decline in the CRS score

Another important feature of this draw was the decline in the CRS score by 10 points after May 29. Canada has presently issued 45,400 ITAs, and the immigration target for high-skilled professionals is 81,400. IRCC had set a new record for issuing the annual Express Entry ITAs during 2018 by achieving a figure of 89,800.

There was a tie-breaking regulation in this draw as of June 11, 2019 at 8.27am EST. When more than one candidate has the minimum score, the cut-off depends on the date/time of submission of the Express Entry profile. This was the 14th invitations round of Express Entry in the present year and overall it was the 121st.

Experts give the opinion that there will be 30 draws this year and invitations will be issued to around 80,000 aspirants. In majority of these draws, the CRS score is expected to be below 460, so that the immigration authorities can achieve the annual immigration target, for 2019.
